Coastlands leadership team is headed up by an eldership of four - Roger London, Hugh Shelbourne, Mike Beales and Mark Rowland. As well as the eldership team, we have two congregational leadership teams whose responsibility is the day to day running of both the Walton and Frinon congregations. See the profiles below for more information.

Roger & Glenys London
Roger, who heads up the leadership team, is married to Glenys. They have 3 children and 3 grandchildren. Having pioneered and pastored a church in Harwich for 16 years, they had a period in the candle wholesale business before taking on the leadership of Coastlands. Roger is a director of Lifestyle International. Both he and Glenys are also directors of Watchmen International.
Hugh & Juliet Shelbourne
Their Christian walk together has been quite an adventure. Time spent working in London ’s East End , Uganda and the USA have been life changing for them. Hugh’s main responsibility as an elder in Coastlands is Bible teaching.
Mike & Barbara Beales
Fair weather sailors and fine weather walkers. Despite an energetic lifestyle this couple always have time for other people. Mike took early retirement from a career as a commercial surveyor and valuer, and together they have plunged into supporting various community projects linked with Coastlands. Mike oversees the pastoral ministry within Coastlands.
Mark & Sarah Rowland
A local couple, Mark and Sarah have been married for 17 years and have two school age children. Mark is a self employed local plumber, whilst Sarah runs ‘Busy Bees’, Coastlands’ parent and toddler group. Together they have been involved in the church for the past 16 years. As well as leading the Walton congregational team, Mark, a guitarist, heads up the worship ministry in the church. Mark and Sarah boast the biggest tent at Faith Camp which accommodates the Church on rainy days!
FRINTON LEADERS   WALTON LEADERS

Claire’s time is fully occupied raising their four young children, although she does find time to oversee the childrens’ ministry in the Frinton congregation. Gary is a carpenter by trade. When he is not crafting wood he loves to hit the slopes on his mountain bike. Gary leads the Frinton congregational team.
Denis is a wizard at the figures and combines a full time job in community benefits with his role as church treasurer. Sue is a practice nurse with a big heart for people of all ages. The have two children and two grandchildren. This couple are also part of the Walton congregational leadership team.
Maureen Hodges   Barry & Molly Kirrage

Maureen is one of three congregational leaders at Frinton Coastlands. She has lived in the Frinton area for 33 years and been a member of Coastlands for 10 years. Maureen has had many jobs including secretarial and retail positions, but about 20 years ago God called her to be a counsellor. Maureen has two lovely daughters and is a grandmother to four young, lively grandsons.

Barry runs his own business as a decorator and Molly actively supports people in the community through her involvement in Coastlands. They have been members of Coastlands for about 15 years and have lived in the Walton area for over 40 years. Barry claims to walk over 4 miles a day in his job. Molly walks for pleasure! They are both part of the Walton congregational leadership team.
